MEET THE PRESIDENT
My name is Mike and I have been a police officer for twenty-five years, starting with the San Jose Police Department and then becoming a Medford Police Officer. After eight years of patrol, I became a School Resource Officer. For the past seventeen years I have worked with the faculty, staff and students at South Medford High School and McLoughlin Middle School.

I served as OSROA’s Region 3 Representative for two years prior to being elected president of the association 10 years ago. I recently became the Region 9 Director for the National Association of School Resource Officers, representing Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii on the NASRO board.

The past few years have been incredible for OSROA. We are especially excited about the number of non-sworn attendees we are seeing every year! Our conference has always attracted Oregon's school-based law enforcement officers, but our goal has been to attract more educators and school staff members. There are a lot more principals, assistant principals, deans, school security officers, disciplinarians and campus monitors than there are SRO’s. Whether or not there is an SRO assigned to your school, our conference offers practical information that you can take back to your school staff and implement to make your campus a safer place.

As president, I make it my priority to ensure that OSROA continues to offer the highest quality training, stays financially solvent and remains the go-to school law reference for SRO’s and educators in Oregon. It is my honor and privilege to serve the members of OSROA and I hope that you will take some time to peruse our website and learn about us. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to Contact Me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

God Bless,

Mike Jackson
