
OSROA is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors in accordance with our bylaws. Elections are conducted annually at our School Safety Conference. Board members serve 2-year terms. The OSROA membership votes for half of our positions in odd-numbered years and the other half in even-numbered years. You can contact any board member by sending an email to: contact.osroa@yahoo.com.
President
Mike Jackson is a School Resource Officer with the Medford Police Department. Mike has been on the OSROA board for fifteen years.
Vice President
Rick Puente retired from law enforcement after serving as an SRO and Detective for the Woodburn Police Department and as the Public Safety Director for the Beaverton School District. He is now the Director of Public Safety for Chemeketa Community College. Rick has been on the OSROA board for fifteen years.
Secretary-Treasurer
Brian Miller is a School Resource Officer with the Tualatin Police Department. Brian has been on the OSROA board for five years. While already serving as Board Secretary, he stepped into the Treasurer position when Jay Prall, who servied this board for twelve years, stepped down to enjoy retirement. A new secretary will be elected at the 2026 conference.
School Representative Position 1
Aaron Luksich is an Assistant Principal at Eagle Point High School. Aaron has been on the OSROA board for twelve years, and he represents Oregon's educators, administrators and school district staff.
School Representative Position 2
Misty Groom is the Director of Safety and Response with the High Desert Educational Services District. Misty has been on the OSROA board for two years, and she represents Oregon's educators, administrators and school district staff.
Region 1 Representative
Zachary Keirsey is a School Resource Deputy with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. Zach has been on the OSROA board for two years, and he represents Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, Washington and Yamhill Counties.
Region 2 Representative
Janet Deckard is a School Resource Officer with the Junction City Police Department. Janet has been on the OSROA board for two years, and she represents Benton, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion and Polk Counties.
Region 3 Representative
Dan Ashworth is a School Resource Officer with the Medford Police Department. Dan has been on the OSROA board for two years, and he represents Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Lake Counties.
Region 4 Representative
David Wohlers is a School Resource Officer with the Canby Police Department. This is David's first year on the OSROA board. He represents Clackamas, Hood River, Multnomah, Sherman and Wasco Counties.
Region 5 Representative
Jeff Coffman is an SRO with the Prineville Police Department. He joined the board soon after OSROA was founded in 2003 and served in multiple roles until leaving the board in 2019. Two years later he came back when he was elected at the 2021 conference. Jeff represents Baker, Crook, Deschutes, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa and Wheeler Counties.
