Dynamics of Autism:
The Law Enforcement Perspective

OSROA is pleased to announce Corporal Sherri Coronado as a presenter for our 2019 School Safety Conference.  Sherri will be teaching "Dynamics of Autism: The Law Enforcement Perspective."

Corporal Coronado has been an Idaho law enforcement officer for over 18 years.  During her career, she worked as a patrol officer for almost 13 years, a Crime Scene Investigator for 10 years, Field Training Officer for 5 years, and Defensive Tactics Instructor for 6 years.  Over her career, Coronado developed and conducted training in the areas of Intoxilyzer, Crime Scene Investigation, Domestic Violence, and Autism for First Responders.  Currently, Coronado is the Domestic Violence Officer for the Boise Police Department and been in this role for the last 4 years.  Sherri works diligently in partnership with local advocates and the Family Justice Center to ensure victims of domestic violence receive all services to aide in the recovery process.

Sherri is also the owner of Double C Consulting, which takes her all over the nation teaching professionals on Domestic Violence and Autism for First Responders and the community.  Sherri's youngest child is an 11-year-old boy who is on the Autism Spectrum.  This personal experience with Autism, as a parent and as a law enforcement officer, provides her with unique expertise on the subject.  Sherri will be sharing these insights with our group.  We hope you will be there with us and benefit from her wealth of information.  Welcome to OSROA Corporal Coronado!
