College Credit for Educators
For 16 years OSROA’s annual School Safety Conference has been one of the most informative and immediately applicable training conferences available to Oregon law enforcement officers and school district personnel. Year after year, attendees rate our conference as one of the best they have ever attended. SRO’s receive 20 hours of DPSST training and educators can earn 20 Professional Development Units toward licensure. The knowledge gained can literally save lives in your school.
Since 2016, OSROA has partnered with Southern Oregon University to offer a 3-Credit School Safety class at a reduced rate to interested attendees. The class will fulfill an elective in your Masters of Education or Continuing Administrator Licensure Program. Credits easily transfer within the Oregon University System. Conference attendance is the biggest requirement. Registration and class completion logistics will be available at a later date. Plan ahead with your district as well, as many offer tuition reimbursement for employees.
We at OSROA are working to ensure that this reduced cost post-graduate college credit is again available to our educators during our 2020 School Safety Conference. To register for the conference, click

here. Please note that tuition for the college course is separate from the conference attendance fee.
